HTTP Request Tester — Test APIs, cURL & Code Generator Free

Send HTTP requests from your browser, inspect responses, and generate code.

Import cURL — paste a command, get the request

Like Postman's import: paste any curl command and the method, URL, headers, body and proxy fill in below automatically.

Try the prefilled echo API (https://httpbin.org/get) for your first test — it answers any request and shows what you sent.

Headers

Proxy (optional)

Live requests are sent via the DrokyAi relay automatically — like Postman, so CORS and forbidden headers never block them. Nothing is stored or logged. The field below is only used in the generated code tabs.

This field only affects the generated code tabs below: a CORS-proxy prefix is baked into the generated code, and a plain host:port proxy appears as the proxy setting in cURL, Python, PHP and Go. Live tests always use the DrokyAi relay, so a public proxy never sees your live requests. Either way, never send passwords or API tokens through a public proxy.

How to use the HTTP Request Tester

  1. 1

Enter the API URL and pick a method (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS).

  2. 2

Or paste a curl command into the import box and hit Convert — method, URL, headers, body and proxy fill in automatically.

  3. 3

Add headers and, for body methods, a request body (JSON content type is prefilled).

  4. 4

Requests are sent through DrokyAi's own server automatically (Postman mode), so APIs that block browser requests work with no proxy setup. The proxy field only affects the generated code tabs.

  5. 5

Hit Send and read the status, time, response headers and body.

  6. 6

Switch the code tabs to copy the same request in cURL, Python, JavaScript, PHP or Go.

Privacy: Requests go directly from your browser to the URL you enter. If you use a proxy, that proxy sees your full request — never send passwords or API tokens through a public proxy. Responses are shown only on your device.

HTTP Request Tester FAQs

Postman is a desktop app, so browsers' rules don't apply to it — no CORS blocks and no forbidden headers. Postman mode is always on, and gives the tool the same power: your request is sent from DrokyAi's own server, so CORS disappears and headers like Cookie, Origin and Referer are forwarded untouched. It is the fix for APIs like Fisher Scientific that never work direct from a browser.

About this tool

HTTP Request Tester is a small Postman-style tool that lives entirely in your browser: choose a method, set headers and a body, and send the request to any public API. You get the status code, response time, response headers and a readable body (JSON is pretty-printed automatically), plus ready-to-run code for the same request in five languages. Because browsers block requests to APIs that do not allow them (CORS), the tool also accepts a CORS-proxy prefix for the live test, and a plain forward proxy for the generated code. It is built for learning APIs, debugging webhooks and turning a working request into code you can paste into your own project — with no signup and no data passing through DrokyAi's servers.
